South Beach Houston TOP PICK (not to be confused with Miami) The hotspot of Houston. The drinks are way expensive but the scenery is nice.  18 and up on Thursday and Saturday night. Most amazing lighting and sound.

Voted Best Dance Club in Houston from the Houston Press 2006 Best of Houston issue. Also, voted best gay club in Houston. More importantly we have made them one of our favorite top five clubs in the nation.

South Beach The Nightclub in Houston has recently went non-smoking in an effort to make its guest more comfortable and breathe better. They have a patio under construction outside where you may smoke which is just a temporary solution to help with those who cannot dance off their cigarrette addiction. I think this is a great move on South Beach's part to be a first major club to ban smoking indoors to help us lead longer, cleaner lives.

Events at South Beach in Houston: My favorite party at Sobe in Houston is the MadonnaARama party with a DJ from Nation in D.C. I also enjoy Tribal Lust which is normally on Easter weekend featuring Monty Q. This party is the closing party for Jungle and proceeds goto BCBC charities.

Weekly Schedule at South Beach:

Wednesdays - Cafe Con Leche/Noche Latina with DJ Cubanito featuring cd release parties/giveaways with Adassa and more. 18 to enter with $2 well drinks, $3 domestic beers, $3 Mojitos, and $3 frozen Ritas.

Thursdays - Free Cover if you are on the South Beach Nightclub email list. DJ Mark Goebel. 18 to enter.

Fridays - Same drink specials as Saturday and Free Cover til 11pm. Now 18 to enter on Fridays with DJ Tucker playing the beats.

Saturdays - 18 to enter and always packed crowd and if you are not there early there is a line to get in. Drink specials from 9:00 - 11 and free cover from 10:30 - 11:00 unless there is a special event or guest DJ.

Sundays - DJ is JD Arnold who spins the Beach party Sundays. This is more of a Circuit crowd compared to most of the other nights at the club.

Friday, August 17th - Lukas Ridgeston, a porn star marks his appearance at South Beach Nightclub for the 21st anniversary party. Lukas Ridgeston is a Bel Ami Entertainment legend who got us hard for European men. You have probably seen him in videos such as "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Lucas is also planning an appearance at Meteor which is 21 and up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6-8:30pm.

Saturday, February 10th - The Red Party with DJ David Knapp, Red Attire encouraged. In 2006, Rich's ruled the Red Party Houston and South Beach Nightclub could not keep the crowd (the funny thing is Rich's club comes up #1 in a internet search for Houston Red Party). There was even a bad crowd out at Sobe keying cars in the parking lot and I am surprised Sobe is continuing this party after last years failed event. This year should pack in more curious boys now that Rich's has dropped the ball and handed it to Sobe once again. I know last year I got my car keyed and we got some other reports of incidents in the parking lots of the nightclub. Make sure you park your car in a safe place for this party.
